Cookies & Privacy
We use only cookies that are essential for the website to function.
TodayOnce uses a cookie called todayonce_read to remember which events you have viewed. This supports the app’s main feature: showing unread events first. Once you have viewed all events for a particular day, the selection becomes random again, excluding the most recently viewed event when another is available.
The cookie contains event IDs and is sent to our server to select your next event. It is set to expire 400 days after its last update and is renewed when you view an event. Storage is limited, so older entries may be removed as the history fills up.
We also use a cookie called timezone to remember your time zone. This allows TodayOnce to show events for your local date rather than the server’s date, which may be different depending on where you are in the world.
We do not use these cookies for advertising or analytics.
You can delete or block these cookies in your browser settings. You will still be able to read events, but the app will lose its core functionality: events may be selected at random, including ones you have already read, and the displayed day may not match your local date.
